Chōryu-ji Temple

Built back during the Edo Period (1603-1868), this Buddhist temple has statues of the Buddhist deities, Amida Nyorai (who this shrine is dedicated to), as well as the Seated Thousand-Armed Kannon enshrined here.
The Shinsengumi were also known to have housed here for three days, and as a way to honor their legacy, every year in April, a memorial service for Kondo Isami (the Commander of the Shinsengumi), is held here.
